Hello, I just recenly purchased a pair of Sara 9's and find them to have a somewhat more open presentation compared to an older version I once owned. Some other observations: More midrange; somewhat less coloration that Sara's are known for; perhaps less tuneful; bass may not be as tight. Many seem to prefer older Sara's with the original tweeter (Hyquiphon?). Good luck, Steve

Steve, Thanks for the reply. Do you bi-wire your Sara 9's? I know that Naim do not advocate bi-wiring. I wonder if the power amps are OK with bi-wire? Do you use NAC5?

Echann, If you loved the Kan’s I don’t think it is the right thing to change to Sara. Better get a (well)used Kan’s in GB. (I got a pair for 150 £ !!!). I once had old Sara which newer worked by me. I also had Epos (E14), -should never have sold them, they are a different case but nice to have. If you can afford it – keep the Epos 11. No biwiring with 250/nac5 or any NAP. Per.

Echann, my Sara's are the single wire version. I use Naim speaker cable. Steve
