Not strictly a Naim topic, but I know quite a few people here use them...and I still have quite a lot of Naim kit!

Anyone know how long it takes them to be fully run in? I knew they would take a while, but mine have not completely settled down yet, treble is quite fierce, which is what I was told to expect when new (and not at all a characteristic of used ones I heard before)

the world was flat once..

Mine took about a month to get most of the way there, but I have to say that most of the change came at the bottom end.

Given your system I wouldn't have expected a fierce treble at any time. The only time mine displayed this characteristic was when I had severe (and I mean severe) mains problems.

BTW, what cabling are you using? Have you gone the whole DV/Shahinian route of Kimber?

Yes indeed, Kimber blue and black stuff, very impressive.

Interesting what you say about mains as I often wonder if this is the culprit. I am currently listening to an album (Los Lobos The Ride) which was pretty fierce this morning, and it is now very smooth; could be the mains.....
