i currently have a naim 32 pre amp and was wondering wether it can be up graded to a 32.5 or a 32.5 72 boards And if so were could i obtian the cards from ?

Sorry, but Naim has run out of 32.5 motherboards,they told me about a year ago,but you can order 72 slot in boards.

Based on my experience (moving from 32 to 32-5), and second-hand options (I did this at no cost, and you should be able to accomplish for little money as well), this is what I recommend.

Quite some time ago,I was in exactly the same situation,so I ended up ringing Naim themselfs for their advise on the matter

The guy I spoke to was extremely helpful and seemed to have no problem in spending a few minutes on the phone discussing my "dilema" (I.M.O. Excellent P.R.).

He said,that in his opinion,(financially speaking) turning a 32 into a 32.5 would'nt have been the most cost effective move due to the cost of having the job done versus the cost of a good second hand 32.5 or 72,and also the fact that even back then,the amount of available 32.5 boards was low.

So based on this and the fact that time has moved on.My suggestion would be to trade in the 32 and find a good 32.5 (preferably with the "72" boards in,but not critical),or better still if you can find a good,well priced,second hand 72.

Are you running the 32 from the Power amp or do you have a "Snaps" p.s.u.) ?
(To get a better perspective,we could do with knowing the rest of your kit)

There are quite a few bargains to be had these days with 32.5's and 72's

Here in the U.K. we have "Loot.com",You may hopefully have an Austrailian version (?)

here in Australia the second hand market for Naim is not as good as else where .
Would anyone have an opinion on the 102 vs 72 vs 112 .
does the 112 match a 72 .
