Hi
I remember reading that it was detrimental to sound quality if 2 cd players were connected to the same amp, why would this be ? I use a CD5 and a Sony SACD player connected to a tuner input, sadly the CD5 is in for repair and the Sony does sound better. Does anyone know of a way to preserve quality and what is the feedback loop that happens when 2 digital sources are in the same system. Thanks |

Alex,
I suspect the "problem" (what ever it is) only occurs if 2 Naim CD players are connected due to their more sensitive earthing arrangements? Since acquiring a CD5 recently my old Marantz has been demoted to the AV input of my Nait 5. I only turn the Marantz on to use its digital output to record onto minidisc. I am not aware of any sound quality issues with my set-up. Stuart. |

After doing A&B tests with my CD82T and a CD3 that the reason why the CD3 didn't blow the CD82 away, I was told was due to the fact they where both connected at the same time. Something about earthing loops or suchlike.
