Hi,

I’m asking for a Unidisk problem. After playing SACD disks, sometimes the device doesn’t identify ordinary Red Book CDs. Cutting it off and back again, it recognizes ordinary CDs as well.
Some possible reasons:
1. It’s a software error. Rebooting the device solves the problem.
2. Any other (eg. tubed) gear’s RFI or other radiation ?
3. What else ?

Have you any experience ?

Although there may be somebody here who owns a Unidisk, this is probably not the best place to ask for help with this product, it being Linn and this being a Naim forum.

I would speak to either your Linn dealer or Linn direct. They will be able to help you.

Ferenc,

This happens sometimes with cd players as well, although I think it's a different process with the Unidisk, or other multiformat players.
I would have like to help you, but never experienced this problem as I don't have a multiformat player myself,I think some people on this forum does and may help you out.
