Gentlemen
My son has a Marantz based system with Mission 752 Freedom speakers and he is about to purchase a 32" wide tv. The TV will be positioned in the corner of the room and he wants to place each speaker about 5 or 6 feet either side of the TV. This means that each speaker will be positioned at right angles to each other. He will, of course, be able to rotate each speaker so as they are firing parallell to each other. Will this be OK. Any wise comment gratefully received. Regards Mick |

You'll probably get fantastic bass response if you stick your head under the TV.

...if your son is at all 'malleable' in his TV siting, can I suggest you try to persuade him to locate it away from the corner - many reasons, but the main one I can think of is having the left and right hand speakers in the same plane as the front of the TV - if this doesn't happen, it can influence the 'surround' realism and 'imaging' (sorry, had to use that term).
Is he planning to use a centre speaker? John |
