Following on from Peter Chappell's steps 1 and 2, get a square of MDF (just big enough to cover the SBL's footprint) and then screw this down into the floorboards. Plce the SBL's spikes onto the MDF (not the securind screws).This gives a nice tight tuneful bass without the sharpness and glare that placing spicked into cross-head screws can produce.
