As I read the different threads I see that many people tend to put the napsc as far away as possible. Anyone could explain why and what difference will it make in the sound?

Thanks!

Cheers!

The reason it has that long lead on it,Is so you can put it as far away from the rest of your kit as possible.
Its a noisy little box.

Yes, but why?

Wouldn't it be nice to put the other powersupplys far away from the other components too?

I wonder..

Yes it is wise to place all power supplys as far away as is permitted by the snaic's ect. thats why they are 1.2m long but not a lot of people seem to bother keeping the preamp a good distance away from poweramps and pwer spplys Winker

Keeping NAPSC2 away from other kit seems to make a positive difference, I've found. But it's not a huge improvement.

Obviously, the little box wouldn't come with such long leads if Naim didn't think keeping it distant from other kit would provide a sonic benefit.

Enjoy your music,
