Goldstar,

I think Chris means the new *Distributed Audio* room so that all the computer crap are contained in that room. Smile

Ah, don't you feel the relaxation setting in here....no more computertalk... Big Grin

Actually, I think it's a good idea, the new forum provides a nice overview.

For us, Adam and the Naim Marketing dept.

The page numbers next to the title are also handy.

It's ALL about digits.

(don't know how I did that - have to check the non-blocking switches and reverse the I/O bridge polarity).

Perhaps Hi-Fi Corner should be further divided into a turntable section and a CD section, each requiring a separate login so the digital chatter doesn't corrupt the otherwise pristine power supply. Don't want the cars to spook the horses, you know... Roll Eyes

Now that you mention cars, why not create a seperate Bentley forum as well Big Grin

Everyone would be posting there, I don't have a Bentley and I know George has a Volvo, but I think most other forum members own top of the range fully-Naim'd Bentleys - so we'd feel left out in the cold Frown

Not another thread grouping...Oh Lord when will it end?

Regards,
Frank.

All opinions are my own and do not reflect the opinion of any organisations I work for, except where this is stated explicitly.

I agree - if a separate forum is needed for 'digital file' sources why not for analogue and CD?

If you have several sources where do you place your matching amp/speaker threads?

I think Naim have missed the boat here.

I will probably NEVER post on the new forum but I would like to see a forum with the ability to host polls and picture albums of Kittens & Interesting Ferns.

BUT - if Naim are not (as they have apparently stated) absolutely NOT going to produce a Kitten (and Interesting Fern) Forum - then I suppose we will be FORCED to seek satisfaction elsewhere.

Swords at dawn! - bring your seconds.

So, on the basis that Naim will never produce a kitten or a new fern, what are the guidelines regarding what gets posted where?

For example, are questions about DAC's (without any reference to computers or streaming systems to be posted here or in the new Distributed Audio.

If I want to talk about the HDX do it do it here or in the new forum?

Dear ROTF,

Currently SORN, but with good MOT and still Insured. As Fagin said [or more accurately sang], "Reviewing the situation!"

I am considering the colour for seats in the probably Royal Blue Bentley Coupé, and on this sole detail alone hangs the order, delivered with the new wireless of course!

I am actually quite sad that the HDX has been exiled, in all seriousness, but I suppose that if I get one one day [more likely than my blue Bentley with Naim wireless], I could still post about it here is I refrained from the technical stuff, which I could not care less about for all that. I could describe its musical capacities without it being drifted in geeks' corner by Adam ... perhaps!

Hi Mark,

The anoraks I presume?? They could be allowed to post here if they have any concrete results that do not contain computer jargon!!

Indeed, Frank. Just my little joke with them. I doubt I'll ever be able to reconcile myself with downloads for 'serious' listening. I'm just too addicted to the eminently more tangible and ritualistic medium that is vinyl.

Regards

Mark
