I have auditioned a Supercap 2 for just over a week now and am mightily impressed.
In order to afford one, the deal will involve a trade-in. My question is what do I trade in (and what price am I likely to get for it)? In my position would you: 1 - Trade in 2002 vintage CDX presently in bedroom system, and much under utilised. Use the HiCap2 I have at the moment on my Stageline. 2 - Simply replace the HiCap2 with the Supercap2, and keep the CDX even though I listen to the main system almost exclusively? I do have a leaning but a little input from you guys may help convince me I'm heading the right way. Any help much appreciated as my head is frankly spinning! Regards, Steve O. |

Sounds like you can't justify keeping something of the calibre of a CDX for 'occasional' use Steve.
If your vinyl listening is also 'occasional' - power the Stageline off your pre-amp(I do) and trade/sell the HC as well. John. |
