I have auditioned a Supercap 2 for just over a week now and am mightily impressed.
In order to afford one, the deal will involve a trade-in. My question is what do I trade in (and what price am I likely to get for it)?

In my position would you:
1 - Trade in 2002 vintage CDX presently in bedroom system, and much under utilised. Use the HiCap2 I have at the moment on my Stageline.

2 - Simply replace the HiCap2 with the Supercap2, and keep the CDX even though I listen to the main system almost exclusively?

I do have a leaning but a little input from you guys may help convince me I'm heading the right way. Any help much appreciated as my head is frankly spinning!

Regards,
Steve O.

Sounds like you can't justify keeping something of the calibre of a CDX for 'occasional' use Steve.

If your vinyl listening is also 'occasional' - power the Stageline off your pre-amp(I do) and trade/sell the HC as well.
