Mild panic today.

Whilst kneeling and facing Salisbury, during a 'devotional-tactile-experience' I discovered that my XPS was HOT.

As in, hotter than the 135's which had been playing music for about an hour.

The Super-Cap was cold. They're both power supplies. Huh?

Have you felt yours lately. (Ooh err missis etc).

Comments please.

My XPS runs considerably hotter than my SuperCap or 135's.

Of all my components, the XPS runs the warmest. Just ensure that you have plenty of space above it (about 3") and things should remain acceptable. As you decrease this gap, the XPS does start getting woryingly hot.

All my black boxes are normally rather cold, even if I keep them turned on for months or play music for hours.
Surprisingly, the CDS is the warmest.

Temperature ranking:
CDS>CDPS>HiCap>180>72.

Stefano.
