For a UK price list. Need to scroll down to 'N'.

From the sound of our North American contributors import taxes etc seem to mean they go up outside of the UK - but they should give you am idea.

I'm sure a suitable Aus. dealer would be able to help - the main Naim website lists dealers / distributors in different parts of the world on it ...

Hi Giuseppe

We don't set the prices that Naim is sold at in countries outside the UK, this is done by the local distributor.

Mark,

Is there a UK price list anywhere?

If not any chance of putting one on the Naim site?

Thanks,

Andy.

Jonathan,
Thanks for the web site.

Mark,
Thanks for your reply.Looking at the U.K. price list there is quite a markup in Aust.As I may be over there your summer 2001 I should maybe wait and buy one or two Naim products. Are they sold free of VAT for export?
Giuseppe.

Hi Guiseppe,

Can you please email me about prices of Naim gear in WA because I need to put some value on my kit for insurance purposes. I just tried emailing you directly, but found your bigpond adress to be out of action.

Giuseppe,

As I understand it, when you buy from a UK dealer while you are in the UK you pay full cost, including VAT. However, you can then claim this back from Inland Revenue once you have returned to Australia, for which there is a special form. (I don't know where you get this form.)

If you import from a UK dealer (i.e. the dealer is shipping the goods outside the UK) most will quote you a VAT-free price. However, one or two dealers who I have dealt with have some difficulty with this concept.

In either case, you will be hit with GST and customs when the goods enter Australia.

Sorry, we don't put UK prices on the net as it causes confusion, we can poet one to you or your dealer can let you know.

Guiseppe

The "mark up" is mainly the result of your government's import duties, which technically you too are liable for if you import the products your self.

Also, in fairness, I'd ask you not to use the facilties of your local dealer for demos etc. only to go and buy it from somewhere else. This is what puts these guys out of business.
