Anyone recently undertaken the NAC52 upgrade to Rev 8 pots and PS to Supercap spec option?

Yes, its an older 52 with original PS.

I bought this second hand recently to replace an 82 and two HiCaps. It is an improvement as is but I would like to know the value of the upgrades. On the face of it, getting a Supercap to replace the PS should be a worthwhile move but its always good to talk to someone that has been there before.

Do you already have the black burndy with it? If so then try to borrow (if possible) a supercap from your dealer for a short period, this will allow you to become acquainted to the new sound presentation or at least you will have an idea how will it be in your own listening room.In my case I did preferred it that way rather than to sell the PS and then buying a Supercap.

Since you will probably have the conversion into the PS, you will be looking at an olive supercap from your dealer. However, and I do not know about that you may ask for the new case supercap which then you will have a sort of different sound and need of more budget.

I used, while at the factory the cds/black burndy/ps 32.5/hi-cap 250 sbls. The 52 head unit was not back to Salisbury but will be a good idea to send it too.
