Seeing all these photo's of Neat MF7's on the Sytems thread and Saphorah's thread has got me wondering whether I should step back in time and re-visit the MF9's.

What do you think folks should I? or is going back a step backwards?

Regards

PB

Assuming you are in the same home, you have to ask yourself why did you off-load the mf9's in the first instance?

Have you definitely ruled out a test run of dbl's?

Final thought, how far up the options chain have you taken your Art's ie having heard Joe Silva's when you visited HK, (if you haven't already done so) is there merit in upgrading?

Of course, if you happen to know of a dealer who has a pair of MF9's in stock, and you fancy combining this with a TMS lp12 bake off and a curry........ Winker

I sense, this could be a long thread - AGAIN!! Eek Big Grin

Nigel,

If you have a dealer (I don't know if Peter stocks them) who can let you have a pair then why not if you find that they give you more than what you already have then great, but they might also highlight what you like about you present Art's like the ATC experience did. So in my mind its a win win situation. I'll come up to Leicester and help you make up your mind if you want to you know I cannot keep my opinions to myself, discrete I ain't. Big Grin

Simple, my ex and domestic situation.

When I had the Neats here the room was laid out completely differently and I neer got to try them where the ART's are now.

DBL's are not out of the question and when I want to finish Peter's back off I may get him to bring a pair round.

There are upgrade alternatives in the ART range, I could go for Silver Signatures which I heard at Joe's, Deco three way Signatures which will be demmed here at some point.

Yes I know a friendly dealer with an ex dem pair and yes we could arrange an LP12, TMS bake off, looser buys the curry's Razz. I think Deans already booked his place Winker

Youre not getting the 2nd 500 back.... Roll Eyes

I posted a picture in the Forum get together thread.

My theory is if a system cannot cope with my most outrageous music it will not cope with my most conventional music. The problem being I don't have any conventional music.

I also like to see the reaction of other people in the room. Smile

Peter,

You just don't know how your words ring true with me. Let's just say I've got the T-shirt (and the metalwork) on that one - I looked like a tortoise for about six weeks Roll Eyes

Anyway, the first project before any new speakers are considered has to be re-location of the TMS2.

Once this is achieved I'm convinced PB will hear the benefits for himself. I'm certainly not planning to lug any new speakers into Melton in the immediate future before this is done.

Afterwards, well I guess the sky's the limit? Or rather PB's ceiling! Eek

Kind regards.

Peter

Guys - I have lots of Senior Citizen rock on vinyl and no TT to play them on and as I'm thinking about a TT would be happy to take a short trip up the M1 to hear this if there was space.

PB - After JonR's bakeoff I inadvertantly ended up with one of Dean's Acid House records but I returned it to its rightful home!!
