I am one of many on this corner who owe a debt to Vuk for bring to our attention a collection of tweeks for our equipment. I have tried all I have heard about, except one which I will get to later.
I felt really close to Vuk until I read he planned to become a "weenie" whatever for a day. I felt somewhat distanced by that one. But it got explained away and things are ok now.

Before the "Weenie" bit Vuk troll'd me. Now at first I was angry thinking I was black listed. But as I thought about it, I ralized I wasn't black listed so much as just listed. Now I am on all kinds of lists without getting upset, so why be upset because of being on one more list. So I have relaxed and things are ok on that score too.

But I have been thinking about why Vuk would troll me. At the time he said he had check our my Profile and it looked quite trollish to him. Well I checked out my profile too and found I conformed to the instructions at the time I filled it out. So it must be something else I have done. Something subliminal maybe. Who knows, maybe "tweenies for a day" have supernatural powers. Anyway I thought of all of my sins that Vuk might have come across. The only ones I could think of are the ones not even my priest knows about' Wait !!!

A rare insight has illumined me. Thats it!!! I invoked the image of me being a Catholic. I am not a Catholic. I took poetic license, and often do. ( When I was a child it was called "white lying".) Since I grew up,It my poetic license. Vuk stroll'd me for being poetical. It seems unfair, him being a weenie while I get trolled for being poetic.

/well that is what I was thinking about all this until I looked up what it means tobe a troll. Its not all that bad really. Scandinavia is a nice country with a real social conscience. Being a giant or a dwarf is all that bad depending on the day. Living in a cave isn't all that great. Being a myth is a little like living in a dream, and most of live in dream worlds anyway. So hey, I am a troll and happy to be one. Blessed be Vuk who giveth.

Now on to the part about joining things together. Vuk was talking about joining a machine bolt and ball bearing together. These were to be used as feet on speaker stands. I have a product called Loctite 380,an industrial version of Crazy Glue (cyanoacrylate ester).

The industrial supply house that supplied it tell me it is used in space craft manufacturing. So it works real well. When I get the machine screws I still will not have steel bearings so Iwill be usingglass marbles and trying them as feet for my speaker stands.

Has anybody tried this stuff to join bits and pieces of equipment? What about glass marbles instead of steel bearings?

Speaking as somebody who Vuk dislikes with a real vengeance I must admit I took some time to figure out this particular line of insult.

I think what he means by the word TROLL is someone who is fishing aimlessly for a response - baiting a response if you will.

I think this is what it means but I could be (and most probably will be) wrong.

Think yourself lucky that you have yet to become a Boybander(still can't figure that one out) or even be awarded a Snappy (you tell me! I haven't a bloody clue what that means - well insomuchas it's some kind of Grammy or Oscar type award but it's derivation i know not).

It takes a bit of getting used to Fred but if you agree with everything he says and don't dispute his claim that he owns this place then he will leave you alone

BTW if you change your name to something resembling a character from animal farm he will converse with you gladly.

God I didn't think of that. Well, maybe he has a point if trolling is reading the various threads and responding when something catches my eye.

What most often catches my eye is the interplay between authors. The content is interesting of course, but the dynamics and relationships of people draw me out.

Given what you say then, would you consider my response to Paul on Aries thread on perfection
an example of trolling?

I have noticed certain pots do call kettles black.
Some time ago I was flamed by a member and switched names and went to hotmail and middle names I was so embarrassed. My offence was mild compared to how others have been treated by my critics since then. Mostly now I keep my head down. But maybe it is not down far enough yet.

I really like this corner, but yes there is a heirarchy.

Among many members here it is natural that someone will be angree with another. I also think
(I'm not sure) that Vuk ignores me or something like this (I don't know if he "marked" me like you suggest about youself). Anyway, if it is true or it is not, there are many members here and no one should bother too much about one member opinion about him.
Like Paul Stephenson stated - this forum belongs to a company with open minded people, everyone can post here freely about his thoughts (sometimes has to be nearby a shelter because of Mark Tucker...) and that's the beauty of it. It is stronger than the feelings of one member - no matter what they are.
