Having recently removed some of my kit from the Q4 I noticed, to my horror, that the kit has left huge fade marks on each shelf to the size of the equipment!!!

Is this heat? Does this happen with other folk?

No Sundance, It's not heat.
I think it's just a matter of sunlight and/or time.
Happends to most pieces of wood(veneer) furniture.

Alco

But I've only had this table set-up for about 3 months. Yes Alco, I would expect it over a year or more, but so soon???? Frown

3 months that doesn't sound right. Are you sure it just doesn't need a wipe Smile.

I guess if it is in constant sunlight you might see a very slight fade after 3 months, but I've had mine (walnut) 6+ years and there is little sign of any fade, though it sees no more than a couple of hours of late evening sun a day.

It happened to my QAV, although I don't know when it started as I didn't see until I moved the components a year later.
It was quite often in strong sunlight. The person who bought it from me didn't complain!
