Is it possible to use a headline with a nait 5i? How do you connect it? And does any know the (Dutch) price for the i-Supply?

You need to connect the Headline to a Tape Out socket. On the Nait 5i this is handled through RCA phono sockets.
The Headline is supplied with a captive lead - terminated in a 5 pin DIN plug. Your dealer needs to cut this off and fit 2 x RCA phono plugs. This is simple enough - he will need to use some heatshrink to make a neat job of it. |

Adam, thanks for your fast answer. What power supply do you recommend: i-Supply or NAPSC?

I find the Headline a difficult accessory with the Nait 5i - as this is attempting to be an entry level amplifier. The Headline is our serious headphone amplifier and priced accordingly.
If you listen to headphones a great deal and have a high quality pair - I would go with the NAPSC. |

Hmmmm Adam, your way of saying this almost suggests there's a lot to be read in between the lines... Especially "I find the Headline a difficult accessory with the Nait 5i". This sounds like "think about this twice"...
Best regards, Martijn (I liked "as this is attemptingto be an entry level amplifier" though |

Hi Martijn,
If you do listen to your headphones more often than through the speakers, it might be an even better idea to use just the Headline with an NAPSC (or Flatcap2, even) directly from your CD5i. Just a thought, but you needn't look for speakers then Regards! Kevin |

Hahahaha... Kevin, great suggestion.
I definitely prefer speakers, but my partner doesn't share my enthusiasm for music 24 hours a day (only 23 hours... Best regards, Martijn |

To connect the headline direct to a CDP you need the Interconnect lead DIN adaptor (HPLA 03-003-0043) BUT this converts the original DIN plug to a pin orientation suitable for direct connection to the output socket on the back of one of our CD players. The BUT coming from the fact that you will, by now, have cut that DIN plug off to allow use with the Nait 5i via RCA phonos.

Can we have some comment on how the iSupply works with the Stageline. I presently power my Stageline off of a HiCapped Nait5. Would I be better off powering it from an iSupply? Can my Stageline be modified to allow it to be powered from an iSupply (if it is deemed to provide enhanced performance). thanks Gregg |

My feeling is that the iSupply is there to get you up and running - i.e. primarily to allow Nait 5i owners to add a turntable.
Your set-up looks good and I would not expect the iSupply to offer an advantage. |
