My CDX2 is on the way...and a xps2 follow.I have recently decided to replace my cd5/hicap2 by cdx2/xps2. Thanks to all guys on this forum that make me spend my money...!!!
The rest of my system : 202/HC2/PSC2/200 and thr b&w805 nautilus.

I still think that it will be a wonderful system but my answer is about then 200. Is it good enough to drive my 805 with this top quality source?
I dont want to change my preamp. My dealer tell me that it is excellent value for the money.

For me it is but any thoughts should be welcome.

Thats what were here for, but seriously I hope you enjoy your new CDX2.

As for the 200, yes you would be better off with a bigger power amp but I would consider a minimum of 282 first.

I would agree. I think the pre amp is going to be a limiting factor before the 200.

Change both!

Yes, to help you spend your money I would recommend both a 282 and a 250.2.

This pairing seemd to me, when I had just that system along with a CDX2/XPS2 at one time, as a set that all went together nicely.

If you are going to do it in stages I would agree the 282 should come first.

BUT please organise yourself a demo to be sure.

hope this helps you,my system is cds3,250.2,202 pre with hi-cap2,and b&w nautilus 805 signatures,the system sounds fantastic,although my next upgrade is to a 252,so do a dem,its down to what your own ears tell you in the end
