I have my copy of the new remastered double 'Worst Of' imaginatively titled 'The Very Best Of'.
32 tracks and barely a bummer. Great sound quality too. As ever; you need a USA copy to do the job properly - Elektra/Rhino R2 78091. |

Thanks rn; I'll tune in. I get most of my new musical discoveries via the splendid Bob Harris shows.
The most recent Jackson Browne studio album 'The Naked Ride Home' is also excellent - and a good recording (USA copy) to boot. |

Pah, missed the radio programmes and, double pah, missed his Brighton Show on the 18th!
Honestly though, I've got 5 of his LPs, and most of them are one-side players for me. One side of brilliance and a side of so-so stuff. I stopped buying during the 1980's when it became too much like power pop rather than delicate melodies with sensitive lyrics which originally hooked me. My last purchase was "World in Motion" which I never played again after listening for the first time. In my all-time top-ten are 3 JB songs 1. I Thought I Was a Child (1973) 2. Song for Adam (1972) 3. Call it a Loan (1980) Knowing my restricted tastes, do you think I should give his more recent stuff a go? Cheers Rana |

Rana, you are so right. I love his early stuff but he got too bloated for me, I really get off on his early work.
glenn Life is analogue, enjoy it while you can. |
