Manchester Opera House Wednesday evening, a truly sublime and delightful event, my gig of the year so far (and I go to a lot of gigs), six piece band three girl singers, one 73 year old legend and 2 hours and 45 mins of bliss. Anyone who belives Mr C is a tad depressing just doesn't get the sly hunour in the songs, in my opinion
The sound was superb, not quite sure how it will translate to the O2 at 18,000 people in July though.
Probably my most expensive gig what with tickets at £75 plus transport and overnight accomodation, but truly worth it.
Anyone remotely interested I urge to get tickets for the O2, he's even doing Glastonbury!
"The last time I was on stage I was just a kid of 60, with a crazy dream"
I was at the Wednesday gig too. Bumped into Jeremy Paxman at the interval in the circle. This concert was probably the finest evening's entertainment I have ever enjoyed and I am eagerly awaiting the Edinburgh gig when I will see it all over again!

Enjoy the Edinburgh show, I did have tickets for the O2 but sold them when I knew I was going to Manchester...bad move! I hope they make a DVD of one of this tours shows, I wondered if it might be Manchester as he was playing 4 nights, I can't think that they'll miss out on the opportunity somewhere along the line.
