Have you tried copying it to CD-R and playing back the CD-R?
Do the discs play OK on a standard CD player?
Good luck - I don't have a Blue Ray player, but have read they can be fussy about what they play.

thanks for your responses. these cds won't play on any cd player. appears to be a manufacturing defect.
i just gave up last night and ordered new copies.
