Don't think they will be SHM Chris as they seem to have only released the cd's in that format in Japan only at the moment.

In that case I'll wait til they do release the SHM version. Been caught like that before on Lou Reed and Traffic discs.

Are they going to release the UK 1st LP - with "Mona" on it?

I made the mistake of buying a bunch of Stones CDs one day at FOPP.

Through the Past Darkly - only for We Love You. All seemed strangely "other" - weird track order changes - substitutions.

I don't like change, me.

Good question. Last time around they did both the UK and the US versions. I have "Mona" on vinyl and cd on the "Rolling Stones Now" american version, which was the bastard child of the first two UK albums. The marketing people in the 60s obviously thought that American and British buyers wanted different stuff.

Resistance to change tends to be age-related Adam! Big Grin

im with adam on this ,while most of the cds came in gb and usa format some did not .the 1st and 2nd did not come with the same track listings and the 2nd called rolling stones no2 d
id not make an appearance as that . there were strange versions put on some cds ie everbody needs somebody to love which was on rolling stones now similar to rolling stones no2, only for the original to pop up on more hot rocks double cd not listed on the sleeve along with 2 extra tracks not listed on the sleeve . i will say that these are the japanese paper sleeve version.this with various mono stereo mixes makes for strange listening.

Ahh! So these are supposed to be even MORE deluxe than the Virgin Deluxe reissues of black and blue, exile, tattoo, emotional, some girls etc, that I spent my paycheck on in the 90's? Not sure what upsets me more, the constant repackaging or my flimsy will power when I come face to face with the shiny object in the store window.

Oh well if I have to. Next youll be asking me to change bedpans and give Keith a sponge bath. But only if they make another album like this one I am listening to on vinyl right now.
