Caught the last song, an awesome performance of "Stagger Lee". Great to see the spirit of rock and roll lives on in this man, and his band. Makes most other rock bands seem embarassingly puny in comparison.

Caught some of this - wish I'd caught it all, hopefully they will reshow it. I might try the iplayer as they have made some improvements to the sound and it is now usable for Radio 3, so it may well be for this.
Thought he was a wonderful showman.

Never really had any exposure to Nick Cave but found the BBC4 programme surprisingly engaging. Agree with Drood that the performance of "Stagger Lee" was phenominal.

I rather enjoyed the songwriters circle programme. You can't really beat The Ship Song can you? Cale wasn't bad either. Odd mix with Chrissie Hynde but it takes all sorts.
