Yes Dobbin; for some time. No problems apart from a substantial delay sometimes with imported discs.

I had a real hassle cancelling an order a while back. It was my first and last experience with them.

I reckon you can't beat Amazon. Not the cheapest but the service is very swift and the packing excellent.

I get my USA sourced discs, predominantly from Djangos.

ive used them a bit recently.......everything arrives well packed ....................EVENTUALLY. If its something that you are not in a hurry for then they are certainly cheap. But if it is released on a Monday you may get it 2 weeks later if you are lucky!

I've been waiting for Brian Wilson's SMiLE for a couple of weeks now and I'm getting a bit fed up especially as I've just seen it in my local Morrisons for only a quid or so more.

I've used CDWow before and they are very good -quick and well packed.

I suppose the moral is don't buy on price alone...

Some good, some bad. I've had a few waits of several months for stuff that they've actively plugged (e.g. in sales), but you can get some interesting import things there, particularly from Japan.

For cheap and reliable, you can't beat Caiman, who are an Amazon Marketplace reseller. Everything is sent from the US at low prices with the mailing only costing the same as UK postage. They ship quicker than Amazon.com to the UK and because they ship singly you never have a problem with customs. I've had dozens from them with no problems.

Their non-virtual shop never seems to be open every time I go to Croydon

I've been using them recently, the shipping singly is a beauty, it slips under the 22€ limit where they don't care, in France. At the same time, it's putting the local specialist, if you ever had one, out of business coz they can't compete on cost, and because they have to charge VAT!

In the buisness world it's called outsourcing ...

My SMiLE album has just arrived. I will probably use them again as they do have a good selection of UK and Imports releases. Must be patient though.

Personally I can't recommend secondspin.com highly enough, dirt cheap, quick shipping and good customer service.

I got sent something by "Nazareth" as part of my last order instead of Dave Matthew Band, no fuss, one email sent, reply a few hours later saying "we'll send the right one, don't worry about sending the wrong one back".

I find 101cd interesting, I've not used them but I've found you'll look for an album on their site and get all sorts of options about which countries version to buy, some of the price differences are interesting.

regards,
Paul

I used to use Secondspin quite a lot, but recently I've never been able to find anything I'm after. Sadly.

My one 101cd.com order took two months to arrive! But for £3.99 inc. postage I got a DVD that elsewhere was either four times the price or unavailable.

Incidentally, I found this price comparison site recently - very useful: http://www.find-dvd.co.uk
