Having seen her superb performance on Jools Holland the other night, I decided to buy Alicia Keys' debut album. The tunes are fine but the sound quality leaves somewhat to be desired in my view. It seems veiled so I find myself wondering if this is one of those discs with 'inaudible' copy protection on it.

I purchased this whilst it was still on import, and I don't seem to have this problem, maybe yours was a UK or EU release...

Jill Scott is easily the best of the current R&B crop. In fact, I'm hesitant to put her in that category.
