I have most of the doors albums on CD, but have been getting more and more use out of my turntable.
I have just ordered the Rhino Boxed set of 180g vinyls that cover all the albums plus a mono pressing of the first album. This was not so much for the colectableness of the set, but as an easy way of getting a (hopefully) good pressing of each of the albums in one go. Does anyone have this set, and if so, how do they sound? Simon |

Well it arrived today and hence I can report.
It sounds pretty good and possibly better than the 40th anniversary remasters on cd, but I dont know if that is just the Michell trouncing the rega cdp. The box itself along with the replicas of all the original sleeves is a nice thing to own, and it came with a 7 inch 45 of light my fire. Worth a punt at £99 if whilst they still have some left. Just Type Doors into the Find at the top of the page.
Loads of info. |

Mine did not come with the "light My Fire" single.
I think Rhino decided to plonk that in because of numerous QC complaints. |
