Interesting thing about that. I've just played the free CD and compared it with my old vinyl copy. The CD has considerably more hiss on it and sounds a bit slower

I was listening to the Beatles in the 60s with my few bucks to spend, and one of my sisters got this and I was totally mesmerized, tho never bought another album, they were on the radio enough.

15 years ago in a long pizza and 3 pitchers of beer talk about 60s music my friend Ken said, "that got lousy reviews" I said "I don't care. I didn't buy my stuff from the top of the charts. The creative atmosphere is wonderful." He didn't say anything.

the young gal who was with us, born in 69, asked Why was the 60s music so great? I said "we had vietnam for 10 years, civil rights and youth was exploding old rules, WE had something to say, and every album had new equipment and sounds never heard before on that scale" Ken was impressed with that assessment and said so.

just got to play my copy ,i see its the hdcd version . there has been another remaster since this version that was remixed ,which sound a bit "different" maybe not better .
