Hello

Just seen Van, had an accident in the car on way, no one hurt. Some moderate damage to car.
Obviuosley has spoilt the evening a bit.

However Van delivered(pun intended). I wasn't sure if I was going to enjoy the when things started. Very laid back and probably the quietest amplified gig I have been to. The sound however was excellent. Began to get into the gig and ended up really enjoying it and could have watch more. Absorbing and relaxing is probably how I would describe it. Given the journey its probably exactly what I needed.

Regards

T.C

You lucky lucky bastard - said in Monty Python type voice!!

Enjoy the gig to night Adrian, although looking at the time you've already had it.......I'm very jealous....

Although we've managed to get our hands on six Kylie tickets for January at the MEC.....I hear the come back tour started ok down under too......

Cheers,
Ali

I saw the Kylie "Showgirl Homecoming" comeback tour on her 2nd night in Sydney complete with guest appearance from Bono.

The show was simply spectacular to watch and the atmoshphere amazing.

The songs most folk are familiar with, although I think it's fair to say she wouldn't win any singing competitions. She did, however, sing in tune.

I was offered a ticket at the last minute and thought I should go and see what the fuss was about.

I'm very glad I went - it was a very enjoyable night out, even though I'm not a fan....

Sounds good blythe....I'm mainly going to accompany my gorgeous other half, but am looking forward to it too I guess..... We recently watched Kylie's showgirls dvd and she can certainly put on a show!!

Oh, and I forgot when I first posted on this thread, was thinking mainly concerts, but last night we (said other half) both went to our first Opera....

Ellen Kent & Opera International's presentation of the Chisinau National Opera in Madama Butterfly, at His Majesty's Theatre in Aberdeen.
We both enjoyed it, even though we are more familiar with Miss Saigon, and it was a good night out!

Absolutely fantastic! Ade Edmondson and Phill Jupitus were far better than I expected. A great evening's entertainment had me and the missus crying with laughter in parts.

The Flaming Lips in Glasgow last Friday. A great gig with a wonderfully positive atmosphere. Sound could have been better and I was glad I'd taken along my wife's musician's earplugs to knock a few dB off everything, but that goes for an awful lot of rock gigs. Streamers and balloons in great abundance and sublime renditions. Highly recommended! The support act (Gruff Rhys of the Super Furry Animals) was good too.

Pete.
