Great fun. Good atmosphere apart from a few lagered-up 40-somethings pogoeing and generally trying to recapture their youth. Played a few oldies plus some stuff from the new album.

Sound quality was terrible though. Couldn't distinguish instruments or hear vocals clearly. Paul Weller might as well have just been humming loudly.

Not purely the fault of the venue. Saw Karine Polwart there a few weeks back and it sounded fantastic. Maybe just suited to certain types of music.

Glad you had a good time.
He does seem to have a problem with the sound at his gigs over the last four years or so.
It cant all be down to the halls he plays in.

Great another James fan! Did you go to any of the recent gigs or those last year?

We always go and will be going in December.

Diccus,

I would love to, just been too damned busy either with work and courses, or going to the Lakes walking, Turkey (for a five a side tornament) etc.

Don't worry I will catch up when I get my breath and liver function back!
