Sorry to hear your disapointment Dicuss. Luckily I booked direct from the Corn Exchange and got a nice seat in the Balcany. I'm sure you will enjoy Neil Young, give my regards to Jet & ewemon.

Kate Walsh, The Lowry in late Feb.

I think it must have been booked before her debut album did so well as £12.50 a ticket is a gift.

Should be a chilled evening if the album is anything to go by.

James,

No problem, I'm in Row 'L' in the middle. The view looks good and so does the venue. I've only been to the Junction previously and its become one of my favourite venues. Much easier to get home than a London gig.

We LOVE the Junction. Easy to get to and easy to park. In fact since its refurb a couple of years back, most of the bands I would wish to see have switched to Junction from Cornex.

Junction 2 'The Shed' is also great for acoustic gigs, really intimate scale. Great.

James,

Here are The Junction's forthcoming events. I'm tempted by Kiki Dee, but then who isn't.

The Porcupine Tree and Yo La Tengo gigs Iv'e seen there were spellbinding. YLT was the first Analogue gig I'd seen for years.

Hayseed Dixie Newcastle Academy 31/3/08 web site here makes interesting reading particularly their policy on taping their live gigs. Their first album was described as a "A Hillbilly Tribute To AC/DC". This has got to be a fun gig.

Regards

My tickets for Neil Young at Manchester Apollo, March 12th, arrived today. Pricey I thought at the time but still couldn't miss the opportunity. Changing hands now for twice the original sale vprice and more it seems . . .

Tickets just purchased to see Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly at The Junction in Cambridge on Feb 13th. More than half the attraction though is that support comes from my favourite Emmy The Great.

On the same day I've been invited out to dinner by my 16-year old son to meet his new girlfriend which was sweet. I think I'm paying though!
