The gig was last night. Enjoyed it immensely; especially given that it was probably the first jazz gig I've attended in over a year. That drummer creates some beautiful noises! Fair mix of stuff from their 3 ECM discs too, which was nice.
Needless to say, some new fans after the gig, judging by the clutching of shrink wrapped CDs!

tonight, in silverlake (east of hollywood): "noodles," all-girl japanese band. a friend booked them in l.a., or their way to some festival in new york. should be fun.

Flying back from the show in Malaga so could be tight!

Josh Rouse is playing there the following weekend - I would have loved to go but have prior engagement.
