No Elgar then. He inaugurated the studios, officially, on the 11th November 1931, with the recording, commercial released of his "Symphonic Study: Falstaff."
... Or perhaps more significantly, "No Eric Coates," who led the first recording there in August of that year. In fact the recording was his once the "world famous" Knightsbridge March... [Once a BBC Theme Tune]... All the best from Fredrik |

Good news for you in the USA from
Brain Damage. Further to our story about David Gilmour's appearance on Live From Abbey Road, we've just heard that LFAR will be broadcast in the USA starting in June. The show has been picked up by The Sundance Channel and all 12 episodes will air over the summer. David is in show 8... More broadcast partners will be announced over the next few weeks. Sorry Fredrik, I havn't heard of any other broadcasts from Abbey Road. Denis |

I saw the one with Primal Scream. They played all the tracks i don't like. I prefer screamadelica and xtrmntr compared with some of their other albums.

Alan,
Primal Scream performed ok, but nothing special I thought. Are screamadelica and xtrmntr good places to start? For me Paul Simon and his band were terrific, especially Steve Gadd and the Guitarist who sang Harmony. Interestingly, Paul said that in all the years he's been a songwriter, he's never had a conversation with another about songwriting. He knows Dylan, McCartney and Neil Young and they have never discussed songwriting, 'Ever'! Denis |
