Florestan

They are playing a concert in a small chapel in a place in France (st. marie aux mines) that we pass when we drive there for holidays.

Looks like a nice program (Beethoven violin sonatas (spring and a few others)/venue (See Harmonia mundi concert details for I. Faust)

How is this disc ?

Strauss Four Last Songs with Schwarzkopf - so achingly beautiful I've put it on for a second play. Disc includes a fantastic rendition of Zueignung, Op.10 No1.
Listening on headphones - have I died and gone to heaven? Smile

Listeninmg to it, for the third time, NOW, and it's definitively a repertoire CD in the best sense. Uri is the real star for me on this recording, because he shows one of my preferred of his MANY facettes: be a great team player, and use more of his heart than of his head... A bit too polished, some(few)times, but all in all a worthwhile purchase.

Thanks Geoff !
