I've not heard them, but I've only read negative comments Keith.
If the commentators are right surely they won't be used?

Sure I read somewhere John that they are the ones they will be using. However they ain't as bad as everyone is saying. Personally they are not my cup of tea but I know a lot of folk who love them.

I have now read that they are supposed to be using the 2003/04 Japanese remaster that were in the paper sleeves.

But don't know for sure.

According to hmv.co.jp, the entire Jackson Browne back catalogue is to be released on SHM on 12/11/08, in cardboard sleeve versions.

Talking of HMV jp, I received a package with 6 albums in it yesterday which came via courier rather than post or parcel. Obviously sailed through without a second glance from HMRC. Some tasty blues titles (Freddie King, Little Walter, Bo Diddley, BB King, Howlin' Wolf) and the Mamas and the Papas "Gold" compilation. Since 2 were doubles that's actually 8 cds!

So another successful day at HMRC for music fans!
Let's hope customs are better at detecting the nasty stuff.

HMV Japan have quite a few SHM discs in a buy 2 discs cheaper price sale. You have to go through a lot of stuff before you may find.

I have seen Police, Hendrix, Stones, Allman Bros so far.

Cool

Got home to find my package on the hall table! Looks great. Will start to listen later if I can wrestle the remote control from others' fingers!
