No-Man microsite

There is now a microsite dedicated to the new No-Man album "Schoolyard Ghosts" (the collaboration between SW and Tim Bowness). It includes a video for an edit of the song "Truenorth" (which runs over 12 minutes on the album itself).

The No-Man MySpace page also includes extracts from the album, which is officially released on KScope / Snapper on 12th May. The first edition includes a stereo CD and 5.1 surround sound DVDA, with an additional exclusive bonus CD for copies pre-ordered from the No-Man store (details to be announced soon, please don’t enquire about this yet).

Reminder for reasons to have Fear Of a Blank Wallet

A deluxe 2LP vinyl edition of "Schoolyard Ghosts" will also be released by tonefloat.

UPDATE (26/3) : Less than 500 copies of the special edition Lightbulb Sun CD/DVDA with bonus disc left!
Lightbulb Sun is also in preparation for release as a 2LP vinyl edition. Along with "Recordings" (also due for reissue later this year) the album is the missing part of the PT discography.

A reminder that a 'Live' Album will be released in the Autumn

Also the long awaited release of Steven Wilson's Solo 2CD towards the end of the year

Porcupine Tree's Festival appearances can be seen here

No-Man will announce a tour soon and will be posted on the microsite above

It is also expected that Blackfield will tour

For those of you who wish to embark on a journey to explore PT, No-Man and Blackfield all you need is an Open Mind Winker

Enjoy

Denis

Thanks Denis - a lot of good stuff to look forward to. I hope I can be back in the UK at some point this year to get a look in on some of this action.

Better go and order my Lightbulb Sun now...

The CD/DVDA 2 disc set comes in a lavish digi-pack with booklet, the DVDA featuring a 5.1 mix of the album, a photo gallery and videos for 3 songs. Finaly the Voyage PT Interview with Steven Wilson has been translated into English here.

A press release from Porcupine Tree's PR agency in the US about the band's activities this year. Here are all the updates:

* A double live album in multiple formats in September.
* Filming a new concert DVD in October for 2009 release.
* Steven Wilson's solo album will be released in late 2008.
* Anathema's new album will be produced by SW.
* Richard Barbieri will release a new solo album this year.
* Ex-Wise Heads (Colin Edwin's band with Geoff Leigh) will release a new album this year.

Message for Lontano - Enjoy the gig and hope they play a long set for you. As it's their first Aussie Tour (only 3 gigs) I would expect it to be 2 hours +

Denis

Just got my tickets on presale
- hope to be in UK at that time.

London show announced

In October Porcupine Tree will undertake a short European tour in order to shoot their second live DVD - this will be the final time that the Fear of a Blank Planet tour repertoire will be performed, but there may also be some surprises! The first show to be announced is at the Indigo2 venue in London. This is situated within the same building (formerly the Millenium Dome) as the O2 Arena, and is a wonderful new venue. Tickets will shortly be on sale from ticketmaster

Got my remaster of "Lightbulb Sun" the other day. Sounds excellent but I didn't have the original so can't make a comparison.

It comes with a multichannel DVD-A mix which I haven't got round to playing yet.

Lontano,

Thanks for the heads up re. the London gig. Tickets booked, printed and stashed away for safe keeping.

It's on the week-end before my birthday so that will be my birthday treat.

May even take the boat from Waterloo, Mrs S did when she took Miss S to the O2 (to see High School Musical on Ice) and said it made the day complete.

Mrs S said that if you want to eat there get there early (it depends what else is happening there that day).

If you're an O2 customer you may be able to use the fast track queue though I think this may only apply to the main arena, just flash your equipment to the security gorillas.

I thought that too but you can select for the non standing tickets, we got centre circle earlier.
I just checked, on the first page when you select number of tickets in the best available window use the pull down and select the other choices.
